The Embassy of Vietnam in Qatar attended the 3rd Qatar International Tourism Fair to promote Vietnam's tourism potential to Qatari and Gulf tourists.
From November 25-27, the 3rd Qatar International Tourism Fair took place at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Center, Qatar with the theme "Discovering Places, People and Culture".
The Qatar International Tourism Fair 2024 is one of the largest events in the global tourism industry, bringing together countries from all over the world to promote their culture, destinations and tourism services. The opening ceremony on November 25 was attended by many leaders and senior officials of the Qatari Government, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Qatar Tourism Authority and Visit Qatar Board of Directors, Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of the Qatar National Library, Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari, Chairman of the Qatar Business Association, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, and Visit Qatar CEO Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi. In addition, the ceremony also welcomed the presence of Ambassadors, Heads of Delegations of countries and representatives of international organizations. The Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar attended the 3rd Qatar International Tourism Fair to promote Vietnam's tourism potential, with a variety of tourism types to meet the needs of Qatari and Gulf tourists, from cultural and resort tourism to nature and culinary experiences... and many suitable travel packages for different customer groups.
On the occasion of the 3rd Qatar International Tourism Fair, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar held a meeting with the Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority and representatives of Qatar Airways. The meeting focused on issues related to the issuance of tourist visas for Vietnamese citizens to Qatar and the plan to resume the Doha - Da Nang direct flight, opening up opportunities to enhance connectivity and develop tourism between the two countries.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hiep, emphasized that Vietnam is implementing marketing plans aimed at potential tourists from the Gulf region. Promotional strategies are designed to highlight cultural diversity, natural beauty and unique travel experiences tailored to each target group. At the same time, Vietnam also focuses on diversifying tourism services and improving quality to meet the increasing needs of international tourists, especially those from the Gulf region.
Taking advantage of trade fairs in the Gulf region is not only an opportunity for Vietnam to promote tourism services but also helps increase its presence on the international tourism map.
